Privacy Policy
The short version
Your health and money numbers stay on your iPhone, and we never see them. We only get your email if you choose to leave it, and we only use it for the emails you asked for.
If you join the waitlist
On this website we keep your email address, the language you were reading in, the page you signed up from and the time. On the Pro page in the app we keep your email, your language and the plan you picked, or that you did not pick one.
Website signups get two emails from us: one when MoonPass is on the App Store, and one when Pro opens. Signups from the app get only the Pro email. We do not sell or share your email.
Where it is stored
Waitlist emails are kept in a database hosted by Railway. The website, and the Moon progress and exchange-rate files the app downloads, are hosted by Vercel. Vercel keeps standard server logs, such as IP address and browser type, to keep things secure and running.
Cookies and analytics
To learn how many people visit, which pages they read and whether our ads bring anyone here, getmoonpass.com uses the tools below. When you join the waitlist they learn that you signed up and from which page, but never your email.
Google Analytics (by Google) counts visits and page views with cookies such as _ga, and estimates your rough location and device type from your IP address, browser and device. We use these reports only to improve the site. Google's opt-out add-on turns it off: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout
Meta Pixel (by Meta, the company behind Facebook and Instagram) notes your visit with the _fbp cookie, so we can measure our ads on Meta and show them to people likely to care. Meta may link this to your Meta account under its own privacy policy; you can change that in your Facebook or Instagram ad settings. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, Meta Pixel does not load.
If you visit from the EU, the wider European Economic Area, the UK or Switzerland, Meta Pixel never loads. There, Google Analytics also runs without cookies: Google only gets anonymous pings with no stored identifier. We go by the country our host Vercel works out from your IP address, and we do not store it.
Everywhere else, the site sets one small cookie, mp_px, that only says Meta Pixel may load in your region. It holds no identifier and is gone when you close your browser.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site works the same without them.
The MoonPass app
If you allow it, the app reads six things from Apple Health: weight, height, blood pressure (top and bottom numbers), flights climbed and steps. It never writes to Apple Health. These readings, the health answers you give the first time you open the app, and your height, weight, blood pressure and stair-test results stay on this iPhone. They are never uploaded, and there is no account.
Your savings, debts, missions and streak are saved only on your phone too.
The app downloads Moon progress and exchange rates from getmoonpass.com, which leaves the server logs described above.
To see which screens people reach and which buttons they tap, the app uses Google Analytics for Firebase (by Google). Google receives an app instance ID, those in-app events, your device model and iOS version, and a rough location worked out from your IP address. The app never sends health readings, money amounts or your email. It does not use the advertising identifier or track you across other companies' apps, so it never asks for tracking permission. To turn it off: You, then Settings, then Share usage data.
Reminders and Moon milestone alerts are created on your phone. No outside notification service gets your data.
Removing your email
Every email we send has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. One tap deletes your email from our list right away.
You can also email clark042007@gmail.com from the address you signed up with, and we will delete it within 7 days.
Children
MoonPass is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
